Who We Are
Highly motivated and commited individuals
Commited to the Credit Union movement, empowering people to take control of their finances for over 25 years.
We have a volunteer management team that reports regularly to our membership. We currently have three employees who are passionate in providing the highest level of service. Our Offices are currently in Bridgwater and Taunton, where you are welcome to call in, and we will try to help.
As a Rural Community we are actively developing 'Contact Points' withe local community organisations, on-line and social-media.
We are 'Not for Profit'!
We are for our Members
All members recieve a 'Dividend', based upon their average savings each year. This is genereated from the interest charged on the loans we make.
That interest is as competative as it can be, for each individual, and this it what enables us to operate as it covers our costs, and pays the Dividend.
We are for our Community
We keep our costs to a minimum, and work with the local Councils and Charities to provide access to the best value loans for our members*, who we want to Thrive, not just Survive.
* Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Somerset, this is what bonds us together!
We are for you!
Our Members are amazing, they are building or re-building their lives. By providing essential access to Savings and Loans, we are on your side. Today we also offer our members The Straightforward Account, which enables them to do the things you previously were forced to use a Bank for, such as Direct Debits and Debit Cards.
We do not offer 'Overdrafts' or Credit Cards as we consider them dangerous to our Members 'Wellbeing'
